Triangle Tango Embroidery Project: A Stitch in Time

Do you have a growing collection of WIPs (Work‑In‑Progress projects)? I always tell myself I don’t have that many… and yet somehow they multiply when I’m not looking. As this short vacation came to an end, I wanted a quick, satisfying finish — something small, colourful, and fun to ease me back into routine.
My plan was simple and joy‑first:
- Start with the fun, colourful, bite‑sized projects — the ones that make me smile the moment I pick them up.
- Let go of the WIPs I’m no longer excited about (no guilt, just space).
- And try — try — not to start something new until I finish one. We’ll see how long that lasts.
To wrap up the break, I finished this adorable mini embroidery project I picked up at QuiltCon 2023: Triangle Tango. It’s bright, playful, and full of tiny stitched details that feel like a celebration of colour. The perfect “quick win” to end my holiday on a creative high.
You can see the little triangles dancing together in the photos — each one stitched differently, each one with its own personality. It reminded me why I love small projects: they’re satisfying, joyful, and they don’t ask for a long‑term commitment.
