The Everyday Tote Bag

For this creation I used a Tilda fabric that I had in my stash for the main fabric - it is from the Memory Lane collection, the Tess in dark slate.  And for the base, I used a dark denim I had on hand. While I liked the colour combination the denim was a little thick to sew with, so I would recommend a denim needle in your sewing machine. 

The straps I found from an online shop in France, Camelir, I chose the natural colour and selected the longer strap at 75cm/30inches. I love adding these handmade leather labels to totes and zipper pouches - you can find them on Amazon.
