Happy UAE National Day!

Today marks the 49th National Day for the United Arab Emirates. 

I have been fortunate to call Dubai home now for nearly 11 years. We came for one year and we are still here and feel so fortunate to live in this great city.

So what better way to celebrate than to share with a close up of my Scrappy Applique Dubai Skyline Quilt and tell you a little more about it.

Fabric: Varying Blue Strips from my stash with a bit of Clementine from Ruby Star Society and the fabric with the countries on it is from Sevenberry

Quilting: Matchstick quilting on my Janome 6700p
