Learning new skills - Mini Master Pieces

Mini master pieces - learn how to quilt

I love learning and I love books!

So today I wanted to share with you one of my favourite quilting books. I loved reading it and I use it to refer back to when trying to tackle new quilting skills.

Mini Master Pieces by Alyce Blyth (Blossom Heart Quilts)

I really like this book because it has advice on different techniques. And as a bonus to practise these skills Alyce has outlined some cute mini quilt projects.

This week I used the book as a reference while I was starting curves! It was my first time trying curves. Alyce explains techniques in a simple way and has Quilter to Quilter notes with advice. The advice on the simple curve block was great.

The book has 12 fun projects. It also has information about tools, patchwork techniques and finishing quilts.

Sometimes it is nice just to have a read and learn new skills and ideas with a craft that is close to our hearts.

Let me know in the comments below what your reading at the moment.
