Humming into Scrappy Applique
So I just love this little Hummingbird project.
As this is the first project I did with scrappy applique I thought I would start out on a small project. And this hummingbird pattern seemed like the perfect way to get started.
When I saw the process earlier in the year, I thought it was going to be hard to master. But I just adored the effect of the scrappy look - it seemed like such a fun quilting technique.
Now I have tried this cute little hummingbird, I know I am going to be addicted to scrappy applique.

Quilting: Matchstick quilting on my Janome, a 1/4" inch spacing with clear thread.
