Humming into Scrappy Applique

Scrappy Applique Hummingbird

So I just love this little Hummingbird project.

As this is the first project I did with scrappy applique I thought I would start out on a small project. And this hummingbird pattern seemed like the perfect way to get started.

When I saw the process earlier in the year, I thought it was going to be hard to master. But I just adored the effect of the scrappy look - it seemed like such a fun quilting technique.

Now I have tried this cute little hummingbird, I know I am going to be addicted to scrappy applique.

The Scrappy Applique technique has been developed by designer and author Shannon Brinkley. If you want to learn more about the Scrappy Applique technique - click here
