Big stitch mending
If I have to mend a shirt I might as well have fun with it.
I love a certain brand of shirts, however they always seem to be losing their hem. And there seems nothing more boring then hemming something that I have paid for.
So this week I decided to turn it into a positive experience and have some fun with it!
Inspired by my recent sashiko experiences, using my favourite navy thread, I big stitched the hem of my white shirt. And I just love it!
To keep the spacing even and straight, I used Tiger Tape. It is like quilters tape but it also has the line spacing on it.
Then after that was finished the hem, I decided the sleeves would look nice with a stitch as well - and here it is. I am so happy with how it turned out.
