Big Block Fun with the Bluegrass Quilt!
Bluegrass Quilt with fun big blocks!
Now that this quilt is gifted, I can divulge all the joy it brought me! This fun pattern, Bluegrass Quilt, is designed by Bev of Flamingo Toes.
And when she asked for pattern testers, I knew this was the perfect design for gifting to a dear friend of mine!
For my version of the Bluegrass quilt, I used Lori Holt's Bee Gingham fat quarter bundle.
And for the background I fancied a scrappy vibe for the quilt, so I decided I'd work with a patterned fabric that adds a soothing touch of blue to the mix. So I used this fun design from the Bee Plaids collection - Bee Plaids Barn Dance Denim.
Big Blocks = Fast Finish!
For the quilting, I selected a modern swirl design to contrast the traditional gingham block fabric and used Aurifil thread in Dove color which is a pale grey, which blended really well throughout.
So if you are looking for a fast finish or a big block quilt to set off your fabrics check out Bev's pattern - Bluegrass Quilt!
